Because Moosh’s cookies looked so darn good, we had to make a batch this weekend too.

I had princely help. And the “No-Naked-Butt-While-Baking” Rule was in full force this time. I insisted. The Spare’s wife will thank me one day.

See that silver bowl? That’s my late grandmother’s mixing bowl. She mixed many a perfect dessert treats in that bowl. Nanny could make a cake! I snagged it while no one was looking inherited it when she died. I hope I live up to The Bowl. My attempt at her famous chocolate cake was a disaster, so please repeat after me.

Spirit of Nanny, please bless these cookies with baking perfection.

Spirit of Nanny, protect your great-grandsons from salmonella poisoning as your granddaughter lets them eat raw cookie dough.

I think she heard us.

YUM!

But the princes aren’t too convinced and are worried she won’t listen to the second plea.

Those look yummy!! I want some! I never bake anymore because I don’t have enough people to give them away too! I can not have homemade goodies in my house I eat them all!

Oh yum! Awesome cookies! I totally let my son eat cookie dough with raw eggs- well, I grew up doing it and I never got sick! It’s probably good for the immune system.

  7. Kim says:

Your cookies look great! I made cookies today too, but mine were the kind that you just flop onto the cookie sheet after opening the package. All that measuring and mixing is just too much work for me.

I called my late (paternal) grandmother “Nanny” too (her real name was Molly).

We take cookies VERY seriously around our house, glad I inspired you. I’ve taken to the hostess HoHo lately. Less dishes.
